My goals in life are simple. Live simply and protect the nature of the ecosystem I love in. If I could work doing anything I wanted, it would be to research biomediation techniques and to teach them to people in areas that have compromised water sources. Our waterways serve as homes to the bottom of the food chain for both terrestrial species, as well as humans who use them as a food source. Compromised water causes serious problems to humans as well as animals, and if I could use plants, like grasses and trees to purify bad water, then diseases and toxins from those waters would be removed and absorbed by the trees and the species living in them would not harm the human population consuming them.
These techniques could also be used in areas worldwide to alleviate some of the effects of heavy metals and chemical toxins that have been put into the water from industry and strip mining. Water is fundamental to all living realms and we need to develop inexpensive, natural techniques to treat what problems we have with it.
