People. We each are unique whether it’s because of our looks or how we carry ourselves. My fascination for people started when I was young and I marveled at watching people interact. I grew up loving people and loving to teach and learn from them in return. I made the decision around fifth grade that I would help people by giving them what my teachers have given me: a priceless education. My dream is to impact not just the people around me, but to have an outstanding influence on the students I teach. These students are the next generation and it’s my dream to teach and inspire them to become people who create change in the world. I want to teach my students to stand up for what they believe in and to help others. There was a quote around my elementary school ‘do your best’ that stuck with me all these years. What does that really mean? To me, this has always stood for not just trying but achieving and sharing your success with others. I set goals for myself at an early age: straight A’s and always helping people; which I did through becoming president for two years of my special education club at my high school. I then planned for my immediate future: college. After completing college, I plan on teaching for as long as I am alive and breathing and continuing to become the best person I can be not only for myself but for others.
