If I could earn a living doing exactly what I wanted to do- it would be a career in Social Worker. Growing up, I was in and out of Foster Care and I never had anyone to show me how to love or even look up too. I learned failing won’t get you anywhere. I also learned that some Social Workers just come to work to get a paycheck. As a 13 year old child, I was fighting to beat the odds and overcome the addiction that had taken not only my biological parents but my siblings as well. My Social Worker was just there to make sure I was doing what I was supposed to be doing. Finally, I graduated high school and began to think of a career to follow through with, and what other plan would be better than Paying It Forward. Social Work is one of the hardest jobs out there and will take an emotional toll on your body if you let it. I want to be that someone that will make a difference in someone’s life. I want those children to know that not everyone will be a failure. Anyone who believes will make it somewhere in life. I know, not every child will want what I wanted, but hard love will show them that I do care. The number one way to success is to not only believe in your self, but to have someone rooting you on during the drive.
