It has been a little over a year since I have graduated high school. Many things have changed but one thing still remains the same and that is what I want to do with my life. Although the details in between are still questionable, at the end of the day the thing I love the most doing is helping others on a mental connection. I will be entering my sophomore year of college and I am currently studying psychology. Within my group of friends you could label me as, the listener. I tend to always be the one everyone one goes to for advice and not because I know everything about everyone’s problems but I just listen and give it my best effort in helping them be okay which is exactly what I want to take into my profession, helping a future patient of mine being okay with themselves. The importance of mental health in a young person’s mind is crucial and coming from a stand point where when I was growing up, I didn’t always have someone to guide me in the right direction. But I want to be that someone for the youth of our country. To be someone who lets them know that they are not alone and help them be accepting of themselves and this crazy world we live in.
