If I could earn a living doing what I love most, it would have to be a CRNA. CRNA stands for Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, and they are responsible for administering anesthesia, monitoring vitals during and after the administration of anesthesia, and ultimately making the patient comfortable. I have always wanted to be a nurse, but I chose an Anesthetist specifically because they are responsible for making surgery, child birth, or other procedures a painless experience. My job would change the world because I will let others lessen their worries about pain and surgery and maybe even possibly invent a new anesthetic. An Anesthetist has approximately 5 minutes with a patient before surgery to make them feel comfortable and talk to them. The specific goals I would set to make my dream a reality is finish nursing school with honors, go to graduate school and enroll in a CRNA program, and then begin research on anesthesia. I have two years left of nursing school and I already know where I would like to attend graduate school, so I have my goals in motion I just need some financial help to reach them. My specialty and love for anesthesia is different and unique in the fact that I specifically care about the patient’s comfort and pain levels. I know I can change the world because I believe in myself!
