Nursing is usually shown in only one aspect. Society only shows the care-taking part of the nursing career. Actually, there is more to it than that. Nurses contribute more to society than what is actually displayed in the media. My passion is to become a nurse and help save as many lives as possible. However, as much as I love the care-taking aspect of nursing, I would love to join the politics in nursing as well. There are many problems that could be made better with the help of the nursing community. I would love to be one of the nurses that would voice their opinions about the flaws in the health care system. Voicing opinions about the health care system could bring change that is well needed. These changes would not only help the staff in hospitals and clinics, but will benefit the patients as well, which is the most important concern. Our nation is so consumed with money that the quality of is being discarded. I would join nursing organizations that are focusing on this issue and fight to change it. Everyone deserves to have the best care when it comes to their health, even if they cannot afford it. My goal is to become a nurse and not only do what I love, which is help people, but to make changes to contribute in doing what I love most. It will not be able is help is definitely going to be needed. However, it could start with me, one woman and one nation.
