During the past three years I have worked for two different schools and have loved working with children with anger management issues. I have noticed that the issue was not dealing with anger but with their surrounding life style. I talked to them one on one and i gradually noticed not only a change in their attitude but their grades as well. It began to dawn on me that I would love to become a counselor for children in rural areas. I believe that this could change the outcome of children growing up to be gang members, in jail or worse dead. If I can change one child’s life outcome then this could change the world. I want to let these children know that it is more to life than what is on their front door steps. Give them a chance to succeed and thrive in the world, in hopes that they will continue on with the guidance and thoughtfulness in which I gave to them. even to this day I walk down the street and see some of my students with a big smile on their face and see that I have already made a change in their lives. In conclusion I would want to go to school and get my bachelors degree in counseling so I could go to a school and give back to a community in need. Thus helping the children we know little about.
