If I could earn a living doing my dream job I would be a school counselor. I would have a bachelor’s degree in psychology and in time continue my studies to earn my master’s and doctorate. I would help students though their adolescents and attempt to better inform them on the upcoming decisions they will encounter. If I am selected for the scholarship I would graduate and along with being a school counselor I would open my own private practice to further help any students that wished to continue their counseling after school was out. Adolescence can be a time of immense confusion and also great discovery. This period of transition can bring up issues such as independence and self-identity. Many adolescents and their peers face tough choices from school to sex and drugs. I hope to better educate my clients to make their transition into adulthood less complicated. This may not change the world on an epic scale but it would help hundreds of people if I am as successful as I know I can be. Thank you for the time and consideration.
