Living in a country as prosperous as America, it is easy to take simple things for granted. When I wake up in the morning and have a balanced breakfast consisting of fruit, whole grains and some form of protein I do not usually recognize how lucky I am, and that is unfortunate. What is even more unsettling is that it does not take living in a third world country to not have access to nutritional foods adequate to live a healthy life, sometimes all it takes is living in a poor economic area, or even worse, not having the knowledge of the importance of nutrition.
If I could earn a living doing the thing I loved most it would be spreading the information of the importance of nutrition to the people that need it most. I feel blessed that I am not only able to lead a healthy life style, but that I understand what a healthy lifestyle is. By teaching others the importance of nutrition, and how it is key to maintaining a life of longevity and happiness, I would be able to also teach people of their self-worth. As people currently in unfortunate situations begin to understand that they are important, and that they are able to provide healthier lifestyles for themselves through proper nutrition, their outlook on life will change. By transforming a depressed, distraught view on life to an optimistic one these people will be able to change their lives, and eventually change the world.
