The universal language of music is one that few know, but all understand. The feeling of true empathy is something that all people go looking for, but many overlook in the song that might be playing over the speakers at the grocery store or turned on as white noise in a lonely car ride. When an artist writes or performs a song, they go on an emotional tour of problem or affair they once had. They write to express themselves and as a service for their audience to be able to do the same. Musicians are servants of their listeners and speaking as one, it is the absolute most satisfying feeling to be able to communicate and share through such an amazing phenomenon. Reliability and acceptance through music is something that is has been occurring since the beginning of time and I have figured out my talents enough to be a part of keeping it alive. Especially in an age of bullying and prejudice, it is important that we let unaccepted souls know that are not alone, and hearing someone’s song can help that. I wish to earn a living by creating art which can not only save people’s lives, but also create a more open and lovable world to live in. That is why I have committed to going to one of the best music institutions in the world, Berklee College of Music and why I will have a career as a musician.
