If I could earn a living doing what I loved most, that would be traveling. As environmental and urban studies major, I hope to one day be traveling the world, cultivating urban environments. My goal is to help developing cities expand sustainably, and with low impact on the environment.
My three year old son has sparked a fire within me to help cultivate a world that is nourished by our actions, and will be around and healthy when he passes it on to his children. I hope to find work building sustainable housing and water solutions, alleviating urban sprawl and practice sustainable urban landscaping and water filtration, and take him with me. I am interesting in anthropology and natural building. Both of these passions lead to me the studies I am pursuing in college and can be combined to create opportunities for large-scale positive impact for humanity and the Earth.
For the time being, I could really use a little financial cushion. Single parenting as a student is do-able, and even easier with less financial stress. My short-term planning has me at a CA community college, Mendocino College, and I have high hopes of the College of Environmental Design at UC Berkeley next fall. Then, off to Brazil.
