If I could earn a living doing what I loved the most it would be to help heal the emotional wounds of women affected by domestic violence and sexual abuse. I believe in the saying “I am my sisters keeper”, and I believe in what those words represent. It’s all of our duty to look out for one another; unfortunately not everyone has the same sentiment that I do. Although I cannot undo what has been done to these women, I can and will do my absolute best to help them overcome and become more than those scars. I am currently enrolled in a bachelor’s psychology program at American Military University, after I complete that I plan on enrolling in a clinical psychology doctoral program that will also afford me my master’s degree. Once I have received all the tools for my educational tool box, I plan on continuing serving in the military, but I plan on serving a clinical psychologist. If I’m unable to serve as a psychologists in the military than I will leave the military and do whatever is necessary to fulfill my goals. There is nothing that I wouldn’t do to help heal all those scars.
