Nursing is the perfect fit for me because I love to help others, the knowledge I obtain can be continually beneficial, and I have a connection to nursing.
Firstly, helping others is a passion of mine. As far back as I can remember, I’ve enjoyed tending to those who are in need no matter what their circumstance. That is why nursing is perfect, because the thing that brings me joy (helping others) will be my day to day job.
Secondly, I’m ecstatic that you can not only use what you learn about in nursing in the present tense, but also in the future. The information you obtain will stay with you for the rest of your life and will be useful in every aspect thereon.
Thirdly, I have a tie to nursing. My tie to nursing stems from who I was as a baby. I was in the NICU in serious need of medical attention and care. In the end, I was able to regain my health through the endless assistance of NICU nurses. As a result, I feel called to work in the NICU to give parents with critically ill babies the same help the nurses gave me when I was a baby.
In conclusion, I don’t believe any other career would better suit me than nursing. Becoming a Nurse would allow me to change people’s lives and give them a second chance. Change would come through bettering their health with medicine, and establishing a trust with nursing/nurses.
