After graduating High School in 1999, I enrolled into trade school. Today I’ am now a Licensed Plumber and a HVAC Mechanic. College wasn’t an agenda of mind until I discovered my passion. Over the past two years I’ve had a burning desire to mentor, counsel, and give resources to the less fortunate.
To begin, I discovered my passion a few years ago when I volunteered at The Boy’s and Girl’s Club. I had the privilege of mentoring a young man that was eleven years old. We enjoyed each other’s company and created a great bond the first day we met. For me, it was an honor to have a young man looking up to me as his mentor. My experience with him changed my life and it revived a calling in me that I never knew existed.
What I extremely love now, is when I’ am able to give wise counsel to individuals that’ll redirect them back on the right course. In order to make this dream a reality, I have to first obtain the proper degree, surround myself with individuals with the same mission, and continue to be a good example for others to follow.
After being fully persuaded concerning my new career change, I enrolled into Camden County College. I’ am thirty two years young and my major is Psychology. My primary goal is to obtain my degree and become a valuable asset to this world through mentoring, counseling, and giving resources to the less fortunate.
