My dream career would be to be stuck in a lab all day doing research on nanomedicine. I love the new possibilities nanomedicine presents and the implications that it could have on drug delivery, especially for cancer treatments. In my lab, I would dedicate all my time and efforts into researching the best kind of drug delivery system that would target only the cancerous cells. Before I could ever live my dream, I would have to finish my college degree in biochemistry and continue on to graduate school for my doctoral degree. After that, I would be able to apply for a job at either a research company or a university where I could teach and research at the same time. One day I dream of having my own lab and being able to say that I did something to help cure cancer, but first I have to finish my undergraduate experience. The first step to accomplish my dreams means finding a way to pay for my school, and with a part time job I still don’t have a hope of paying for school without ending up in heaps of debt, but with the help of my parents and many more scholarships, my dream might become a reality.
