I find that a lot of today’s youth waits around for something to happen; it is rare to see someone work hard to achieve their dreams anymore. For me this is not cool, and will never happen. I do not see any true achievement in fate, and I will not wait on life to work things out for me. To achieve my dream I will work as hard as I can, because without that it is not true success.
My dream that I will make come true is to help better the special education programs in schools, especially public. I want to create more effective teaching methods for special education. Working with the children is truly the most rewarding job I could think of. There are so many inexperienced teachers that fail these students because they are unaware of how to work with the kids.
That is why I plan on continuing on to at least get my masters in Special education and minor in psychology. I will use my learnings to help be better understand the children and as I work with them I will be able to figure out techniques of teaching that can help them to excel.
In obtaining my goal I am highly aware of the constant changes that occur in the education world, so I plan on keeping myself up to date with schooling. By doing this I will continue to take new classes that may come up in the field of special education and child education in general. I also want to make sure I am able to have a strong connection with my students and the best way to do this is to make sure I am able to understand them and their experiences.
I can honestly say that I would rather be able to do this than live in a big house and have a fancy car. I am very aware of the undeserved low income of teachers, but that is not what I am working hard for. I do not dream of having money or fame, those things are nothing compared to the personal satisfaction and joy of working to help improve another’s live whom may not have the ability to do so.
