Since I was a young girl, I had dreams of becoming a pediatrician because I always had the ambition to help others in their time of need. When I was eleven years old, my first nephew was born and shortly after he was diagnosed with autism disorder. I quietly sat back and observed everything that my sister and her husband went through, while trying to figure out exactly what was wrong with their child. I knew from watching them and seeing the things that they went through that I was going to spend my life helping people, but I was not going to be a pediatrician, I was going to be a psychologist.
In order pursue my dreams of becoming a psychologist, I have set up many goals. The first and most important goal that I was set aside for myself is to stayed focused and never give up on myself and the things I am capable of. Another important goal I have set for myself is to explore and interact with people that have the same interests as myself. I feel that there are many things I can learn from others that have the same ambitions as I and have already been in my shoes.
With my career, I plan on researching autism, and attempting to find a cure. I feel like all medical conditions have a cure but no one has found them yet. I will find the cure for autism!
