My dream job would consist of giving people second chances. As a person working in the medical field I would be building relationships with a team of individuals all committed to bringing people back to the way they once were, healthy. This means giving people a second chance to share experiences, work on life goals, or maybe just to tell a loved one how much they are appreciated. Working in medicine is my dream because it deals directly with influencing people’s lives. Whether I end up a surgeon at Grady Medical in Atlanta or just a Paramedic in Montana I realize that this is what I want to do with my life.
In the next few months plan to get my EMT license, study health science at UCF and build relationships within my community in Orlando through various internships at The Mental Health Institute of Central Florida. Although changing the world may seem like a difficult task, it is a task that must begin with the individuals around us. By helping the individuals around us and improving their quality of life we strengthen our community. It can be easily overlooked but if a person saves one life in the medical field he also aids the growth of a limb on a stranger’s family tree. My goal as a human in this life is to influence my environment around me the best way I can with the opportunities that I make. I hope that you can help me on my way.
