I choose to believe that it is of no fault of my own that I was born a dreamer. My life started small and miserable. A baby born to young, drug addicted parents, needless to say I was a mere child left to figure out how to best survive in the trials of a world littered with uncertainty, fear, and abuse. It is all these trials that have made me the strong capable woman and mother I am today.
If I could have any job I wish regardless of time or money, I would want to speak to other women, men and children. To share my life’s journey would fulfill a dream I have long dreamed of. I would want them to know they are not alone; there is hope on the other sides of fear, neglect, addiction and abuse.
My dream is to teach people not to think of themselves as victims but rather survivors’, and not to use their pasts as an excuse but to use it as a lesson a learning experience. I would teach them to be a better people in spite of hard beginnings and hard times. I would change the world one story at a time.
