Music has been around for generations, capturing moods and emotions of anyone living. It has been, to me, an “escape”, as some call it, away from any negative activity going on in my life. Even though the beat of the drums, the sounds of the trumpets, or the strumming of a guitar make the audio aspect in music, the part that appeals most to me is the artist’s lyrics as it forces listeners to paint a mental image and become one with the song itself.
The dream job I set myself to achieve in life, is to become one of these artists for a living and aid to those in need of an “escape”. I would do this by following my major in Creative Writing all the way through and search endlessly until I find opportunities to produce masterpieces of my own. I am currently enrolled at the University of California, Riverside, and so far I’ve completed the first step, but the rest of my plan won’t simply be handed to me, which is why I write almost everyday in preparation for any given opportunities of making this dream a reality.
I live for giving, not forgiving, meaning that I’m at anyone’s side whenever I’m needed no matter what kind of situation I happen to be in at the moment. I plan to change the world with music that would make people dance, relieve people of stress, and give people comfort. I would be, in a way, a musical therapist.
