I remember when music had a purpose, it was about more then just being the best song out. I’m sure that being the best was the last thing on artist mind when they created song with lyrics that would change the world like Michael Jackson’s “We are the world” or music that the average person can relate to like Tupac’s “changes”. music today is so conceited and self centered that it has lost the ability to make people reflect and look at the world differently. I won’t blame the music industry because it is a million dollar business, but if you have a message, and you want to be heard, music is the best way to do it. with talented musicians lyricist and you can change a life. I want to revive music and return its soul. my name is Isma Augustin and I want to open up a music studio where music that changes lives can be created. I want to do more then just create this music I want to open music schools in places where music programs have been removed from school so that kids who want to learn can learn. my dream job wouldn’t be for me to get famous or well known for my music, but for the music I create to change lives. I would like to someday open a business where the voices and melodies of change can be heard.
