A question consistently asked in life is simply this; “What do you want to be when you ‘grow up’?” I wanted to be an educator for the rest of my life. It was high school that helped me decide what exactly it was that I should be teaching future generations. Music is the one gift that brings feelings when nothing else can be said. As a future music educator, it is my goal to allow students to feel the power of what music really is. I will teach students the history of music and where it came from to have more appreciation for it. Teaching students how to play instruments in school can most likely result in higher scores on the SAT and ACT. Music is an art, and a goal of mine is to allow students to express their feelings through music. Teaching music is the one thing that I love the most in this world. It changes the world every day. The first thing you hear in the morning is music from the alarm clock or the radio. You constantly hear music throughout the day and it can make you feel any emotion you have. Music is what I live and breathe every day, and to be able to change the world is what I live to do through music. Thank you for taking the time to read what my goals and passions are. Through music, I can change the world for the next future generations.
