Medication for all kinds of reasons date back to early human civilization, and the method and use of these medications have since long progressed. However, I do believe that most doctors and pharmaceutics overlook the power of music as a medicine.
Whenever I’m feeling down in the dumps or just totally want to give up on the world, I plug in my music and let the melody and beats ease my mind. The rush of music shooting straight to the brain actually calms me down and makes everyday life easier. If I could make a living off of my passion then I would have to choose to be a musician.
Being a musician would be my ultimate goal because it allows me to work with music my whole life, and to be able to create my own music for the world to love. After attending multiple concerts and festivals, it would be my dream to be a musician because for a little while, those people are easing the mind and cleansing the souls of all those who attended. For people to be able to hear my music and respond in a positive way to that would be my ultimate dream. It may not change the world, but it could provide hope and a way of escape for millions and millions of people. People could use my music to help them overcome everyday struggles. To me, that power is amazing, and it would only be a dream of mine to do.
