As a child, I aspired to be many things when I grew up: famous photographer, famous singer, famous astronomer. Each of these shared a common goal; to earn a large paycheck. For the longest time, I wanted to earn a million dollars just to be able to say “I’m rich!” I would not spend a dime and would let the money accumulate in a bank account. However, recently, I realized that there is nothing more fulfilling than helping someone in need. So, I changed my hopes for the future to become not just a millionaire, but a philanthropist.
Attending college in the fall and majoring in International Business will integrate all of my strongest areas together; math, Spanish, and traveling. I can make a living off of computing math in business, communicating in Spanish, and taking these talents traveling through countries. I aspire to be a part of introducing cultures to each other from across the globe and increasing the respect given to and received from different countries. Knowledge of one’s heritage allows for a gaining of understanding of one’s behavior. The earnings that I gain from this will be donated to charities across the globe. I will eventually have the ability to give to those in need of clothing, food, shelter, medicine, or even aiding students with college tuition payments. My plans for the future have a journey that will be rocky but a destination that will surely satisfy more than just my own needs.
