Me and my Bike
I like to ride my bicycle with homemade trailer. I ride to the college every day. I also ride to get food and personal items from the stores. I ride through rain, snow, hail and thunder storms. I carry safety equipment on me and my bike all the time.
I want to use my bike to show people I can ride it to get in shape. It helps me to stay fit and helps me out with my handicap. I use my riding to over-come severe injuries from a drunk driver that hit my family. I was the only that survived. I lost my wife and unborn child. I believe people will benefit seeing me ride, even with disabilities. They can overcome their challenges in life also.
I believe it can help the environment and reduce my carbon footprints. I love to travel for my charities I do I the summer time. I ride for MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Drivers).
I also started a club in North Carolina at Gardner Webb University. The group is called BADD (Bulldogs Against Drunk Driving). We raised money for our group to get the word out by riding our bicycles. We rode to Charleston, South Carolina.
I ride today even with my severe Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). I feel the most alive when I am on my bike. And I believe getting the word out about Drunk Driving will save someone else and their families.
