A lot of people ask me what goals I will set in order to pursue a future career. Right now, I am earning a marketing degree at Ramapo College of New Jersey in order to find a suitable career that fits with my own personal skills. As a longtime NASCAR enthusiast, I will pursue a career on the business end of racing as a marketing director for the sanctioning body itself. In order to reach this goal, however, I will have to use my hard work and determination to finish my college studies before finding an entry-level marketing job. Once I have secured a job at the lowest echelon of a firm, I aspire to persevere and work my way up through various ranks until I finally secure a higher-level opportunity. When that NASCAR-related job opportunity finally comes my way, I will change the sport – and furthermore, the world – by changing the rules in order to allow more teams to afford to compete, intensifying the competitive nature of the sport. I also aspire to change stock car racing by adding new venues that will bring in more spectators and potential new fans. Within my career, my goal is not only to change the sport but to bring more marketing opportunities to the sanctioning body because I feel that several companies ranging from the Fortune 500 to small businesses can gain national and even international exposure through NASCAR sponsorship. These are all of my career goals.
