If I could make a living doing anything that I wanted, I would be a NASCAR driver. I would want to help as many people as I could, and I know that by being in NASCAR I would have that opportunity.
Growing up in a household with 7 other people I know firsthand what it is like to grow up with not a lot. My dad worked three jobs, and my mom worked at a school. This has taught me to always work hard, and that there is no shame in even simple jobs. However, if I could make a living in NASCAR I would help causes like heart disease, which my dad died from, or help others achieve their dreams. Being a Christian, it is important for me to help those in need. I volunteer at my college and even with the church. One of my heroes in the sport, Michael McDowell, already does this. I have talked to him before and told him how much I would love to do what he does. I go to school now for communications and plan on working in NASCAR with that as well. With that as my “foot in the door,” I will pursue my dream.
I know that there are so many causes out in the world that need attention, but I know that many of them could get the attention they need if I was in NASCAR. It’s the only way I would enjoy doing what I love.
