Entering my junior year in college, I have made up my mind on the career path I would like to endure on. I want to become a school social worker. It has always been my passion to help others, from giving advice to my family and friends and also spending my spare time with young children. Helping them grow and understand the life that’s around them. Giving back to others is something that I love doing also. Becoming a school social worker would be my dream. Beginning my social work classes in the fall will definitely be an eye opener but also a stepping stone to the career path I’m so eager about. A school social worker is someone who influences the kids and as well as the staff to make better decisions together and how to work out certain outcomes. Besides becoming a school social worker as my main goal, I also plan on obtaining my Master’s in Social Work. The more knowledge I know about Social Work the more I can be an influential person on someone else’s life. Gaining as much experience as possible I would love to help someone else with the same goal as me. In 10 years, I can see the career of Social Work changing the world because everybody needs a Social Worker in some point in their life. Social Workers are everyday people but they also try to help improve others’ lives too. We need to empower each other and the career in Social Work is where the empowering begins.
