All I ever wanted to be since I was young was to be a police officer. I loved the idea of putting others first and making a difference in this world. I wanted to be looked up to just as I looked up to my uncle who served for over 20 years in the military and police force alike. Eventually I hope to one day work for a federal law enforcement agency and hope to be a part of something great
Ever since I knew what I wanted to do with my life I have set out goals to accomplish just that. During High school I joined a 100% voluntary Search and Rescue team through my local Linn County Sheriffs Office. We worked hand in hand with deputies finding missing persons, and evidence from crimes. This was the first time I actually did something that benefited the lives of others and it was the best feeling on earth.
The next chapter of my life consists of finishing college and commissioning as an Air Force Officer. I have just completed my first year of AFROTC while studying Arabic. Military experience and a foreign language will give me the skills to do what I love on a global scale; which is helping and protecting not only citizens of the US, but of the world. Maybe one day I will reach my goal of working with a federal law enforcement agency and continue to do something that will benefit the lives of others.
