I love to help people, it makes me feel accomplished inside if I know I was able to make someone else’s life easier. I always have loved to help people, but it was solidified in me during the past two years when my dad was diagnosed with cancer, and when he passed away almost two months ago. Throughout his illness, he needed a lot of help. I helped him as best as I could, and it made me feel like I was doing what I could to help make his life easier.
My goal is to help instill that into other people. It would change the world if we had hearts focused on helping others. I would first start with my family, and help them realize that there is so much good that can come from helping someone else, not only for the person being helped, but good for yourself also. Hopefully after I have helped my family have that same mindset, they will go with me to instill it into our friends. Pretty soon, many people could be affected by the feeling that comes when you help someone. It would make us happier as a world, and we would know that someone would be there for us when we needed help. It would be beneficial for everyone to have this mindset, and love to help people; not looking for personal gain, but just because they wanted to feel good inside knowing they helped someone.
