I have always had a heart for the less fortunate, whether it’s a little boy in an infusion center of the hospital, or an old man on the streets of China dying of hunger. My name is Breanna Gonzalez and this is my story of how I hope to change the lives of others. To tell you a little about myself I’m eighteen years old, I love to sing and play piano and guitar, I have traveled out of the country, which has given me guidance for my future. Hope for South Africa and the world itself. I recently had the privilege to go to South Africa, we went into the townships there and spoke with the natives, I taught some music classes and created a choir. I learned to sing in Khoisan (there native language) and they learned songs in English, the choir toured around South Africa, and eventually grew to sing in more areas of Africa when I had gone home. They were given opportunity and this gave them hope. Everyone deserves something like this. I hope to get my college degree in music so I can travel around the world doing this exact thing. It doesn’t matter where you come from or what has happened in the past, doing what you love and working to influence other people and give them job opportunities is the key to a successful life. It doesn’t matter how much money you have, it matters the lives you influence.
