Being able to have to the job of your dreams is something every little kid wishes for. For me, that job would be finding new homes and careers for racehorses when their racing career is over. My family has been heavily involved in thoroughbred racing for the better part of three decades, and it is a sport that I hold near and dear to my heart. I have developed such an admiration for those marvelous athletes that go out on that track and run their heart out. These animals inspire me because, they don’t ever give up and they strive to compete and succeed in everything that they do. While giving these horses a second purpose in life wouldn’t necessarily change the world, I know for a fact it would change the racing industry for the better, and most importantly it would change the horses’ world. Most certainly there is not much money to be had in this endeavor of mine, but the satisfaction of helping these animals is more gratifying than any amount of money. I strive to be financially stable enough, to be able to help these animals without having to worry about the monetary side of things. Everybody needs someone to be the guiding light for them, and I want to be that for these magnificent creatures. Whether it is a human being or a mouse, all creatures on this earth deserve a quality life, and I’m going to try and make it happen.
