If I could make a living doing what I love most, I would be a writer. I would love to be able to spend my work hours sitting at a desk writing. As of right now, I have written eleven books and hope to publish my first one within 6 months. It’s a dream of mine because when I write, nothing seems to be wrong.
How does my dream help the world? Well, when I was a child, books were my solace. They were the things that got me through bad days, bruises, sickness, bullies. Books had the power to change my perspective and my mood. Writing for me has always been my fall back, and reading has always been the activity that helped me out. I want my writing, my books to help others. My writing could change other people, and help them the way books helped me.
Maybe that doesn’t seem like something that can impact the world, but Shakespeare wrote plays that have molded our language, our education, our writing. George Orwell’s 1984 has given arsenal to politicians in terms of government policies. Books and writing shape our world, and I want to be apart of the mold.
