I am a first generation college student and I am already majoring in what I love most. I am a Senior and a Film/Television Production major at NYU where I currently hold a 3.2 GPA. I come from a long line of family members who either have a high school degree, dropped out of high school, or just do not have any high school experience at all. I was preached education at a very young age. I was able to observe and analyze how my family members had to struggle to pay bills and make ends meet. From that point on I made it my job to succeed in my schooling. All I have is a dream and a message that I want to share with the world. The message is that anyone can overcome anything with a little support and a lot of faith. That is what embodying the American Dream is all about. I want this message to inspire young children and older ones to get on the road to success. With my future success in film and/or television I hope to use my revenues to help build community centers to keep kids off of the streets and give them something productive to do. I also want to invest into my own clothing line where my proceeds will be donated to charities and less fortunate countries will receive my clothes for free. I want to help the world, but I can’t until my degree is received.
