I’d improve and augment the health of individuals in the US and around the world. There are many who want, and do, make changes, but the problem is that we start at the surface, thus making fleeting, temporary changes rather than everlasting ones. To make seismic changes, we must assess and evaluate the issue to eradicate it from the root. A great source of disease is an unbalanced daily lifestyle.
We replaced eating wholesome meals with 2,000-calorie, fat-preservative laden meals to be consumed in five minutes without the pleasure of eating it with family & friends.
We replace leisure time, to enjoy life around us, with work time, to prepare for life ahead that’s already passing us by. It’s not that we should indulge in the latter, but rather maintain balance of both. We’ve become accustomed to life efficiency and pharmaceuticals; we have forgotten what it’s like to evaluate ourselves & our relationship with others. As Einstein asserted, “Life’s like riding a bicycle. To keep balance, you must keep moving.’
I’d like to develop an infrastructure where individuals truly learn about value of nutrition, stress management, and good habits- a place where they directly learn the correct, scientific information about food, rather than the plague of contradicting diets the media presents. They’d learn to cook healthy meals. A consulting office would exist in the same facility, as well as exercise. With the increasing need for health and efficiency, Americans could come to one facility to augment a lifetime of well-being.
