What I love most in the world is participating in and conducting scientific research. I learned that this was a passion of mine through participating in the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science, our state’s science fair competition, for five years. Ideally, I would like to use this love to make the world a better place in psychological research. I want to research depression to find an ultimate reason and cure for the disorder.
To make this dream come true, I want to attend college to obtain my bachelor’s degree in psychology. Then, I would enter into a Masters + Doctoral degree program, so that I may further my education. Upon receiving my degree, I would want to perform research while teaching at a university, to help others that are passionate in they’re pursuit for knowledge to follow their dreams as I had followed mine. While I help others to obtain a greater knowledge of the behaviors of the human mind, I wish to conduct my research at the university, possible with students working alongside of me so that they may also broaden their horizons. Overall, my pursuit is to spread not only happiness by fighting depression, but also to spread knowledge unto those around me.
