If I would be able to do what I love most, it would be my intended major that I am currently working towards, which is fashion design. I am currently enrolled at Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. I would like to become an assistant designer to a well-known designer and intertwine new fiber technologies with clothing, hoping to make a change with sustainable fibers and my eye for great new designs and print work. I would like to generate new ways of obtaining natural fibers. This scholarship would definitely help me on my way towards that path, and help me focus on my craft. How I could change the world is finding new ways of making not only clothing items, but this idea can be used for other uses such as accessories interior design. Also I would like to help bring production back to the United States, which would promote more job opportunities and also help artisans and designers from the U.S. have easier ways to produce their creations.
My goals to obtain this dream are to graduate with a bachelor’s degree at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Fashion Design, and also continue my education with a possible master’s degree. I would work under designers, textile designers, and producers to find new ways to produce fiber technologies. Thank you for taking the time to evaluate my application.
