When I was younger I was not afforded many opportunities. My youth was truly wasted, but out of that ash I have grown as an adult, as a parent & as a spouse. I have two small children & I always encourage them that it is never too late and to work hard for what they want in life. I have been continually working hard and if I could make my dream a reality I would have my college degree & be running my own business baking sweet treats & bringing smiles to people at an affordable price. My goal is to concurrently attend school online and in the evening while still working full time. I believe in my abilities & know that a college degree would pave the way to more open doors. Baking has brought me peace in times of chaos & has given me an outlet to be as creative as I want to be. It seems silly, but sometimes it truly is the little things that can turn a day around. If I can continue to work, go to school and put smiles on the faces of people who eat my sweet treats I would know I’m doing right by the world. I’ve always said, “life is short, treat yourself” and I would love the opportunity to share that with others.
