Implementing a Solution of Prevention; Instead of a Lifetime of Intervention
In determining my chosen career path, I explore the state of our society and the dysfunctional lives that many children and adolescents are inflicted with. Our society tends to focus on rehabilitation and incarceration. Although, through years of experience and my education in the field of Human Services, I discovered that there is a great need for guidance and training of consequences for actions in the youth of the United States, because it easier to guide a child, than repair a broken adult. Countless women, children, and innocent victims of all ages, genders, and cultures are falling prey to an abusive world and their lives are being lost due to child abuse, domestic abuse, violent crime, drug abuse, alcoholism, as well as countless other societal problems. I have come to the conclusion that all these issues are intertwined with each other, so it is imperative that we all come together as leaders of the children and youth of our society to implement a culture that teaches young people and guides them, instead of leading them by dysfunctional examples. With the future of our young people and the safety of our society in mind, I desire to work in a career after completing my education that I can be a guiding part of a solution to help end the destruction pollution that is destroying the minds and the futures of the youth of our society.
