Since childhood I have loved how art impacts the world, and discovering that I have a skill in art was a benefit. Art is often seen as the “heart and soul” of a society as well as a historical documentary. As a male who is a minority, in race/ethnicity and also in the graphic design and web design fields, my goal is to learn and enhance my knowledge of coding and graphic design to be able to productively enhance the fields of web and graphic design, as well as put another face on what a person in the industry looks like. I want to be a model for younger minorities so they have someone to look up to who paved the way. There is not an industry that is not touched by websites and graphic design and it is essential that companies and businesses, both large and small, have the right tools to reach and service customers. I want to contribute to the exciting world of business by providing excellent web and graphic services on all ends: the graphic front end and the web coding back end. I am motivated and have much to offer once my skills and knowledge are increased and enhanced. I am already on my way to reaching my goal by having an Associate’s Degree in Web Design, and I have almost completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design. I am networking and building my portfolio and am looking forward to contributing to this exciting industry.
