What I find interesting, is that I am being asked what I would do if I could earn a living doing what I love most. I shouldn’t type out a 250 word essay about a hypothetical dream. I should though type a 250 word essay about what I will be doing to make a living doing what I love most. The world has become so twisted in this obsession with money, that people ignore the fact that they are pursuing a career just to be financially stable. We should strive to do what we love.
What I love is sports. I only played a few growing up, and I mostly was a dancer, but my sophomore year of high school I found myself drawn to a career involving sports. What I’m currently doing to pursue this dream is working as a sports writer/sideline reporter for two different media outlets in my college town. My goal is to be on ESPN or FOX Sports as a sideline reporter one day.
I will be doing what I love as a sports reporter, no matter what income I make. I will inspire other young woman to enter such a male dominated industry and I will make an impact on aspiring sports writers. I don’t plan on asking myself what if I make it. I am only looking to ask myself what I will do with what I make.
