Ever since I was a young girl, I thought of nothing more than wanting to be a teacher. It may sound silly, but it means so much to this young girl – now older, to fulfill her dream. The inspiration in me to make my dream of becoming a teacher come true is stronger than anything I have ever felt. I have gone through two colleges already, finding financial trouble in the first, and the inability to graduate with the correct degree from the other, for it is a two-year institution. I will stop at nothing to make my dream come true. I will find a way to get to a great college that will provide me with useful knowledge and all the tools that I will need to become a successful teacher. When I graduate, I will travel to a school that needs me, a school where the students need the most help, where I can show them what a great feeling it is to be filled with knowledge. I want, more than anything, to be a positive influence in a young person’s life, that they can forever remember me as Miss. Mau, that teacher who was there when no one else was, who would do anything to help me succeed. That is what I love and that one positive influence in a young person’s life may not change the entire world, but it can change the world for that person and that is what truly will make me happy.
