At this exciting turn point in my life it’s important to evaluate both short-term and long-term goals and put them into perspective. Some of my goals include studying sonography at the University of Hartford to get the skills I need. I want to study this is because my younger brother was born with congenital heart failure. If ultrasound technology was more advanced fifteen years ago his heart surgery could have been prevented. I was fifteen when my father passed away, since then education has been my escape. My mom always tells me, “If you want something, you have to go get it.” I have a burning passion inside of me to be the change I wish to see in this world. I want to put an end to ignorance. The learning in this field never stops. I love to learn more than anything else. It’s my passion and there’s no better feeling than challenging myself even when nobody is watching. I can prevent congenital heart failure by and other conditions from taking full effect if I earn my degree and complete clinical internships. It’s not something I want to do to make me happy, it’s something I want to help other people and their families with so they don’t have to experience what I did. Diagnostic medical imaging is my canvas; I can’t wait to project the image to change the world. Thank you for your time and consideration.
