One of my many passions is to be a mentor to youth across the world. I have had several mentors in my lifetime and each of them has made such a huge impact in my life. If I were able to get paid to be a mentor for the rest of my life, I would pass down the things I learned from my teachers, mentors, and parents: to always be yourself in every situation and environment you encounter, to work hard for what you want, to never give up, to follow your dreams and visions (no matter how impossible or far fetched they may seem), to not let your past determine your future, and to always enjoy life. The youth of today are so focused on being the most popular kid in school or having the newest designer item that they are losing sight of the important things in life. By being a mentor, I would change the world by building up the future leaders of each country to be bold, intelligent, hard working, influential, and honest individuals who care about their success as well as the success of their peers. In order to do so, I would start by volunteering with organizations that specialize in mentoring youth in the surrounding area. I will then make my name known by becoming the best mentor at each organization site and making a difference in each of my mentees’ lives. From there, the domino effect occurs and the rest is history.
