Ever since I was a little kid, I knew I always wanted to have a career where I helped people. It was not until my 8th grade year of junior high that I knew how I was going to do that. I had to go to physical therapy for my shoulder, and I found my niche. I was always interested in the human body, but I did not want to be responsible for all of the inner workings of the human body. Physical therapy perfectly fit what I wanted to do. I believe physical therapy would change the world because it is an alternative to surgical procedures and prescriptions, so in some cases it is a more sensible and less costly solution. Most religions and belief systems go against the medical world, but with physical therapy there is nothing invasive, and no internal medications. As of accomplishing my goal of becoming a physical therapist, I am currently attending the University of Central Florida, and will be here for the next seven years, until I complete physical therapy school and get my doctorate. I have already set up internships with my local physical therapist’s office, and will be going there in the summer.
