People say I live and breathe horses, it is my passion, my life. I plan on going to college to study Equine Business Management. The ultimate goal of mine is to open and run my own barn. This passion of mine has given me the confidence in all aspects of my life. I am not afraid to try something new, nor am I afraid to fail at something. Riding has given me a sense of who I am and what I can do. I have learned that you can fail and get back up and try again. Most of all I have learned to always strive to do my best and that I am the person I must please-no one else. I have taught young children including handicap children to ride. The greatest joy is helping a child who has everyday challenges gain confidence in themselves to get through these challenges. Can this change the world? I think so. These are trying times for everyone. There are so many distraction that all children and teens are faced with today, it is hard not to be pulled into bad situations. Horses and riding can keep children and teens focused through out the years. If we can get even one teen focused and not pulled into bad situations then yes, we are changing the world.
