My greatest desire would be to coach a winning high school football team. Where I’m from there is a lot of racial issues that limit high school minority athletes’ full capabilities. First string athletes are honed at a young age and parents have influences until high school.
I would get my Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Computer Science. Thereafter, I would get my teaching certification in the state of New Mexico. I would get a job at Kirtland Central High School in Kirtland, NM as a science, math, or chemistry teacher.
Once I get hired on I would pursue the coaching job by volunteering and find any way possible to be with kids on the football field.
If I get the helm, I would treat each kid equally and fair. I’d make sure every kid has a chance to play defense, offense, and special teams. The outcome would be that these kids will carry that type of treatment the rest of their lives and hopefully change somebody else’s life.
Discipline on and off the field is vital for a successful season. The whole coaching staff needs to pay attention to all athletes’ during practice, games, and even during school. The students need to live by what is instilled in them and value and recognize it. The world would be more equal racially.
