Standing behind the counter, at my sometimes monotonous thrift store job, I thought to myself: if I could do anything for the rest of my life what would it be? The answer was simple. I would spend the rest of my life telling everyone I meet about the hope there is in Jesus Christ. I believe in making a difference one life at a time. “Hope cannot be taught, only shared from one hopeful person to another.” (Anonymous) People who have hope make a difference wherever they go. Therefore, sharing hope with one person will create a ripple effect, resulting in a hopeful society and ultimately a hopeful world.
It’s hard to make a living in this field; however, while things are impossible with man, anything is possible with God. Because my dad is in medical school, my parents have no money. Therefore, I knew if I wanted to go to college I would have to work very hard. I have set a goal to finish my education debt free with a bachelor’s degree in Counseling from Moody Bible Institute in 2016. To make this happen I am working two jobs and plan to start another in the fall. With a debt free degree I plan to, through the field of counseling, lead many to the hope I have in Christ. I know that with your help my dream will become a reality.
