As long as I can remember even as a young toddler i always knew the importance of a home. Rather it was me coming from school, work, vacation or a long day outside, I always got a little excited to finally go back to my place called home. Last year i experienced being homeless. Yes!! God showed me how it was to be homeless for a month. i lived out of my 2001 Camaro. It was filled with my clothes, personal hygiene items, food, books for college, and my scrubs for my job. Every personal item I owned drove with me 24/7. I changed my clothes and showered at my job. During this time I developed a strong passion and hobby for building houses after being around some good friends that worked in construction.
There are millions and millions of people around the world with no place to call home. If I had the ability and finances I would create a program called ” No one without a home”. This project would focus on families living homeless; rather in the streets of America to desert sand dune tents over seas. Every family would have a place to be with their loved ones and have all of their beloved things with them. To be able to have a safe place to eat, shower and sleep under the safety of a roof. Our team would focus on creating 3 houses a week. After all “Home” is where the heart is!!
