Money can buy expensive homes, foreign cars, and luxurious clothes, but the one thing it cannot buy is happiness. I am working hard towards achieving my goals because my dream is to become a lawyer. I want to earn a living by having a career that I am proud of not a career that is driven by dollar signs. My father was sick for four years and if I had not researched day and night on the current healthcare system, laws, and procedures my father would have never survived for as long as he did. Knowing that I can make a difference in someone’s life is what motivates me every day to continue pursuing my education and obtaining my law degree. I have set specific goals to help me along the way such as receiving my bachelors degree in sociology because I want to know how society functions in order to be fully satisfied with my capability of understanding my clients. I will intern at a law office specializing in healthcare in order to understand what must be done on a daily basis in the office and outside the office. Lastly, I will study hard for my LSATs in order to be accepted into NYU Law school where I will continue to work full time, intern, and go to school at night because nothing will get in my way of becoming a lawyer and helping those like my father.
